What type/color shoes should I wear with a yellow skirt?

I have a yellow skirt (that fits a little above the knee) with a brown flower design at the bottom. I was thinking of wearing it with a brown top, what shoes would I wear? I will be doing a little bit of walking so I want something cute and comfortable.

If you're going with a brown top and yellow skirt, I would suggest some white shoes. It stays in a similar color pattern, but gives it a little variance by not matching exactly. I myself prefer heels, just because I love the defined look that it gives my legs. However, flat sandals are really in, can look super cute, and be comfortable. Old Navy has a really cute selection of flats and wedges, it's my favorite site!
Reply:I think that brown shoes would look great. I just bought myself a pair of brown Skechers and they are soooo comfortable. Also, another thought is Aerosole shoes. They come in dark bronze and copper colors. A tan khaki would also go well. Or even a pretty pair of yellow ones, like low espadrills.(sp?).Sandles are the rage now, but make sure they have some built in support. Regardless, be sure to break them in first before your walking tours.

As long as its a plain colour like brown or white it would probably be fine.

Reply:I would go for a comfortable gold/beige colored flip-flop. I can walk all over downtown in flip flops (I grew up at the beach.) So if you're not a flip-flop person go for a cute flat. Since your skirt has a pattern on it try a solid color (perhaps green). Remember it's not the 80's so it doesn't have to match perfectly.

Reply:I definitely think a brown shoe. Yellow would be "too cute," if you know what I mean. Always try shoes on for comfort. I have some adorable (to me) brown sandals that are so comfortable. I think they are by Naturalizer or Aerosole. Both brands are inexpensive, but well-made of nice quality leather and emphasis on comfort. I think brown sandals for summer with that outfit would be the best. A brown flat would be ok too, provided it doesn't rub up and down on your heel. Make sure the fit is perfect if you buy a flat and plan to wear it without stockings, which, of course, you do.
