I live in NYC and was curious why yellow taxi cabs, most of them, have flowers on their hoods and dtrunks?

I saw on Rachel Ray that they had kids in the hospital and school children make those to put on the cabs and brighten up the city.

:)

Enjoy them!

Maybe their owned by hippies.
Reply:Have you noticed those flower stands on almost every corner? Have you noticed how taxis drive?

They probably hit the flower stands and didn't bother removing the flowers that stuck.

That explains the hood.

The trunk is from when they hit other taxis in the rear and transfer a few flowers from their hood to the hit taxi's trunk.
Reply:It's a moving art exhibit. The pictures were drawn by school children - I read about somewhere recently.

Reply:Si!
Reply:They're apart of the "Garden in Transit" art project. School children from all over the city and a few schools across the country painted them.

They're only going to be on the taxis until the end of the year, so enjoy 'em!
