I'm redoing my bathroom and the tub and sinks are this golden yellow color. I plan on changing them to white but right now, I have to work with them. I have dark brown flooring in the bathroom which I am planing on changing too. My shower curtain is a beign color with tiny light and dark pink flowers.
If anyone has any thoughts or ideas about my project please let me know!. Thanks!! =)

You have the right idea in not trying to ignore the yellow fixtures. In doing so they will be more obvious. I personally would look for a shower curtain with gold and brown in it, to help tie in with the flooring and fixtures. Add luxurious towels in brown, beige and cream to create a soothing color palette.
Reply:purple is yellow's complimentary color. but i think a yellow room with deep brown and white accents would be pretty.

Reply:white will be simple and elegant with the yellow...then throughout the year you can change it up by adding different accessories...bringing in fresh tulips in the spring, and multi-coloured pastel handtowels, and then golden candles in the fall, and add some greenery and gold or silver at christmas.
