What colour goes with yellow for a wedding?

hi im getting married in june 2008 and ive got yellow flowers the little bridesmaids have got white dresses with yelow flowers i dont want to be in danger of going too yellow so i thought the older bridesmaids could be a different colour it just i have no idea i was thinking green maybe any suggestions???

What colour goes with yellow for a wedding?
My fiance and I are using yellow and blue at our wedding. The bridesmaids will be carrying yellow flowers and be wearing blue (cornflower) dresses and the groomsman's ties (and maybe vests) will be yellow.
Reply:Most any color will go with yellow. Yellow and blue, green, lavender, a sort orange (not peach!), all work well together. Perhaps you should ask the older bridesmaids what they think as they are the ones who will have to wear it. As long as you have input on style and color, I think that's the best idea.

Reply:If the yellow is a pale colour then a pale green would be lovely. I wouldn't go with a dark green colour in the summer. Also either an aqua or peach would be lovely too.
Reply:Orange. A most sophisticated yellow but a relief from the brightness. But make it a nice rust or burnt orange.

Reply:to be honest i probably would have given the little bridesmaids a pale yellow dress, like a pastel colour and the older bridesmaids a slightly deeper yellow coloured dress and then chose the flowers from there.
