What tree is this? Pink spring flowers, waxy oval leaves, hairy stems, and multi-branches...?

It is a small tree starts out looking like a shrub, reddish hairs on the stems, fairly smooth bark. The flowers are lots of smaller flowers in a clump, nice pink color with yellow stamens, kind of remind me of sweet pea or snapdragon flowers...sorry, but no pictures. Blooms a few weeks after spring bulbs...l

Reply:It's a small native tree called the Redbud. Cercis americana.


Does it have the same heart shaped leaves as the ones in he google.


It is a member of the Pea Family because it produces the same pea pods as beans and peas do. Flowers also appear on the trunk. Blooms with many of the later spring bulbs like late may tulips and daffodils.
