Yellow flower with brown in the middle?

Yellow flower with big brown eye in the middle. What is it

Yellow flower with brown in the middle?
A sunflower?
Reply:It is a black-eyed susan or rudbeckia. Rudbeckia as noted for being good around people with pollen allergies, since they do not produce nearly as much pollen as black-eyed susan.

Each are perennials, which means they will come back year after year, although the ones I have had tend to die out after 5-6 summers. Perennials don't require as much care or water as annuals and in this case the two plants need no extra water besides normal rainfall (pretty drought-resistant too).

Reply:From your description, it sounds like you might be talking about a Black-eyed Susan. The centers are generally dark brown to black, as the name suggests. They're easy to grow, and tolerate hot climates and poor soil.
Reply:Brown Eyed Susan.
Reply:either a sunflower or a black-eyed susan

Reply:Some kind of composite flower - daisy, black-eyed susan, coreopsis, sunflower
Reply:if it is about 3 inches across the flower and the middle brown part kinda sticks out it is probably a rudebekia.....very pretty!
Reply:More than likely you have a rubeckia...also known as a brown eyed susan. Is there quite a few in a clump say yay high? Are they blooming right now (summer)? Do they come back every year?
